The main character is a Taoist priest practicing at the Xuanqing Temple in the isolated village of Eventide. One fall evening, the town is filled with ghosts and kidnaps the sister of the main character. The player alone must deal with the ancient curse and find his relative.

There are various magic spells and potions that can significantly expand combat capabilities іn addition to 16 different swords in the hero's arsenal.
